This project represents a synthesis of the canonical music performed by solo vocalist Hasmik Baghdasaryan, the modern day musical artist, composer Vahan Artsruni, and the ancient compositions of St. Mesrop Mashtots, the fifth-century inventor of the Armenian Alphabet. Leveraging the latest advances in sound technology, Mrs. Baghdasaryan and Mr. Artsruni have imbued St. Mashtot's monodic chants with a polyphonic interpretation that brings new dimension and richness to the genre.
